What is a hackathon?

​An event, in which over the span of several days, teams collaborate to produce innovative solutions addressing a pressing topic relevant to modern society. Teams will submit their projects via GitHub and present their project in front of judges.

By participating in a hackathon:

- You will develop vital 21st-century skills and grow as student leaders
- You will see into the inner workings of the real STEM workplace
- You will experience the essential process of designing and project-building

Awards

1st place: $100 in amazon gift cards for the whole team
2nd place: $80 in amazon gift cards for the whole team
3rd place: $60 in amazon gift cards for the whole team

    • It is an event where participants interested in programming work in teams to solve a real-world problem in small groups for a short period of time.
