Passcode: 372373
Age requirements: 10-17 years old
Q: Participation method
A: Basically similar to the adult Toastmasters Club. There are prepared speeches, impromptu speeches, and assessments.
Q: What is the difference between guest and member? Can anyone participate? Can I attend anytime? Is there a limit on the number of people? Do I need to register in advance every time?
A: Guest can only participate in impromptu speeches and cannot participate in other roles. Anyone can participate at any time. There are currently more than a dozen members in the Club. In order to ensure the quality of each meeting, we will limit the number of guests to a maximum of 6 people in the first few times. If there are many interested children, they will take turns to participate, and wait until the children have a complete understanding of the Club. After getting to know each other, you can choose whether to join as a member.
Q: How to become a member? How much is the membership fee?
A: Just fill in the application form. Previously, it was paid once a year, 135 dollars a year, and the virtual meeting was free during the epidemic.
Q: Is there a quota limit for members?
A: Not currently. If there are too many people in the future, it will be limited.
Q: Can I participate if I am not an EmP member? Do members have any priority?
A: Yes. If there are too many people, there will be a quota limit, and priority will be given to EmP Association members, then ordinary members, and finally non-members.
Q: Organizational Structure
A: Students have their own boards, which they can choose every year. Parents have a Parent Counseling Committee, and there were some volunteer activities before the epidemic
Q: How many adults participate?
A: Most parents don’t participate much, and even less after going online.
Q: Are there coaches or mentors who will teach children some basic skills of public speech?
A: Mainly students organize themselves, follow Toastmasters' tutorials to practice and judge each other. Parents only play a supporting role.
Q: What if my child does not want to go after participating as a Guest once?
A: As a guest to participate in the event, you do not need to pay, and each event also gives the guest a chance to speak. It is not too late to apply for membership until the child really wants to join. Encourage your child to participate a few more times before making a decision, because each time the topic, moderator, and child who speaks are different. Participate in several more times, you may be able to have a complete concept. As a child grows up and wants to become an independent adult, parents will surely hear more and more children say No. This is a normal thing. It's okay to say No, but I hope it's a No after fully understanding.
Q: How to become a full member?
A: Please email counselor.rs@gmail.com, now an Indian mother is mainly in charge, so it is convenient to keep track, she or Enzhou will reply and send you the link of the form.
