As the editorial staff, it is our pleasure to announce the works and artists selected during our inaugural reading period, centered around the prompt "How has the recent spread of coronavirus affected your view of your family?". Eason Tang, a seventh-grader from Beaver Lake Middle School drew "My Family Together", a colored pencil depiction of a shared family moment at home. Owen Fei, an eighth-grader from Odle Middle School, drew the comic panel "A Look Into A Virus's Life", delving into the evolving ways that people interact with each other even during pandemic. In "My family and I throughout the Coronavirus", Jerry Xu, a fifth-grader from Sunrise Elementary, reflected on the sacrifices that he and his family have made in order to ensure safety for themselves and their surrounding community, and the bonds made tighter as a result. Suri B., a sixth-grader from the Overlake School, chose to focus on individual changes, musing on the changing habits of her parents and sister in the intimate essay "During Coronavirus, A Change of View". Congratulation to our winners and a big thank you to all of our readers -- enjoy the pieces! The contributing editors this month were Kailani Ye, Cindy Cao, and Victor Xia. We'd like to thank our adult advisors, Shirley Tong and Han Yan, for providing support.
